What if we could comprehend the incomprehensible? What if we really understood the length and breadth and height and depth of God’s love, and we were convinced that nothing, neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord? If it were possible to be fully persuaded that God loves us regardless of our performance or successes or failures or struggles or sins, we could thrive in that knowledge of being ALWAYS LOVED, NO MATTER WHAT.
This is living the grace-filled life. If we know without a doubt that we are always loved by God, no matter what, then we can ALWAYS LOVE others, NO MATTER WHAT. If we know that the love of the Father is not based on our abilities, but on the life of the Son, we will be able to offer our unconditional love to others (and ourselves) because that is what we have experienced in our relationship with God. No matter our impressive performance or our utter failure. No matter our deep faith, or quaking fear. No matter our clever social prowess, or our profound awkwardness in society.
There is nothing that can separate us from the love of God; not sin, not failure, not fear, not disappointment, not weaknesses, not wounding, not selfishness, nor sickness nor captivity nor persecution. As His children, we are ALWAYS LOVED,
NO. MATTER. WHAT.
